المنتخب المصرى صعد إلى المرتبة 9 دولياًَ على الرغم من عدم المشاركة فى كأس العالم 2010
ويظل المنتخب المصرى حسب تصنيف الفيفا (شهر يوليو) الأول عربياً وأفريقياً

Egypt 9th in FIFA Rankings

Despite not participating in the World Cup this Summer, Egypt made a new record high in FIFA Rankings for July 2010 as it came 9th. On the other hand, Spain reclaimed the top spot after winning the World Cup while Holland came second.

Another new record high for Egypt:
Just a few months after achieving the best ranking ever in February when Egypt came 10th in FIFA Rankings, the Egyptian team moved up to the 9th place despite not participating in the World Cup.
The FIFA ranking which was updated today saw some teams moving up and down based on their World Cup achievements, Spain and Holland as an example moved up to take the first and second spots respectively. In addition to this, Uruguay moved up a whole of 10 places to become 6th while both Argentina and Germany moved up a couple of places to become 5th and 4th respectively.
On the other hand, the ranks of some big teams went down abruptly after their anticlimactic performances in the World Cup. Italy as an example dropped 6 places to become 11th and France dropped 12 places to end in a shameful 21st place.
